Mythic

There is / will be some restructuring as we move into Mythic. More on this will come in tomorrow’s roundup.

Mythic nights will be taking place on Black Team times, though the Mythic group will comprise both Red and Black team members. We haven’t decided whether to keep the team names / identifiers the same, change them, lose them entirely, or something else. If you have opinions, let us know!

Raid Roundups will likely majority cover the Mythic raids, though will mention saturdays and mondays here and there.

Vanguards and AOTC

Vanguards who wish to keep Vanguard status but are not on the Mythic team will only have to come to 50% of the remaining raid dayss (saturdays and/or mondays) until the next full tier to keep Vanguard. The requirements for new raiders to earn Vanguard are the same (5 raids in per month).

That said, we still have a number of guild members and raiders who need AOTC. Keeping on top of raid mechanics, continuing to run M+, etc, will help ensure that we can get AOTC for them before the next tier. We had 6 successful AOTC runs in Uldir. We’ve already done AOTC twice on Jaina. Let’s shoot to get everyone AOTC who needs it, just like Uldir!

Crucible of Storms

Once Crucible releases we’ll be running that on Saturdays and Mondays instead of Heroic BfD, at least until it gets cleared or people get bored of it. The Mythic group may run it during their time as well, or we may decide to split into 2 groups on saturdays / mondays. Essentially the schedule for the Mythic group doing crucible is TBD, but everyone else can plan for Saturday / Monday to be Crucible runs when it releases.

Congratulations to the newest AOTC members of Ministry of Defense (and Golden Chariots!)

We’d also like to thank our new friends in Golden Chariots for coming out and joining us for it, as well as a few members of I Am Muted from Thrall helping out healers.

Don’t have AOTC yet? We are tentatively putting together a group for Thursday, 4pm PST / 7pm EST to get additional achievements for anyone missing it. If you can’t make it, don’t worry! We’ll have plenty of opportunities coming up with the new raid schedule.

Welcome back to the weekly raid roundup! For the new folks joining us, every week I take a look at what we did right and wrong on each boss we faced. Sometimes the roundups can be lengthy, while others are blissfully short. I include notes about what we need to watch for and what we should remember from the Raid Leads, so keep an eye out! There’s also a link to the Warcraft Logs for each session, so you can refresh your memory or follow along.

MoD took a vacation at the end of Legion, but came back at the start of BFA to hit the ground running so we could push hard and fast this tier. Our first level 120 popped early on the 14th (congrats, Corignis!), and the rest of us hustled to catch up and spam heroics, mythics, and eventually M+ when they became available. Between old hats coordinating at the start of the expansion and several strong new recruits, we’ve made an outstanding start to the raid tier, culminating on an 8/8 normal clear on week 1 – an unprecedented feat for the Ministry of Defense.

A big thanks to everyone that came out to the For the Horde! achievement on Tuesday. We had 27 people show up! It was a great time had by everyone. Lunzzul was unfortunately out of town and couldn’t make it, but big props to Bighoss for leading the attack and showing all of us the best way into various cities. Between good entry paths and quick mage portals, we finished our run in under an hour (really around half an hour if you discount all the dicking around before our first go).

Following are a ton of pictures and a synopsis!

Have you ever wanted to slap Anduin’s stupid little face? How about beat Tyrande’ with that stick that she’s had up her butt? And after Legion, I’m sure we all want to give Velen a piece of our mind.

Now you can!

Next week, 5PM server, we’re going to run through For the Horde. Even if PvP isn’t normally your thing, achievements are nice to have, and this is a good time to do it! We don’t know where certain NPCs will be in BfA, nor do we know how stat squish will affect the difficulty of this achievement. Plus, our Artifact Weapons are giving us a huge advantage right now. The more people we have, the easier this will be!

This is also a great way to dip your toes into PvP if you’ve never done any before. While the NPCs aren’t opposing players, chances are that opposing players will show up to defend their leaders!
