Early Season Dates
Lock in your main by March 4th.
DO NOT SERVER TRANSFER BEFORE RAID NIGHTS DURING THE WEEK
DON’T DO IT. YOU’LL BE MAD.
Feb 26: Early Access. Not required, but a helpful jumpstart for levelling.
Levelling Prey (if possible), using DMF Sunday for speed levelling, weekly events if possible, as high a dungeon as possible
Mar 3: Expansion launch
M0 available. Do not run m0s on Tuesday, we will do guild runs on Thursday.
Do your normal + heroic dungeons to gear.
Use DMF to gain renown to unlock champ pieces on various rep vendors.
Prey may also give some decent loot
Mar 10
Unlock Delve 8 (11 if you can)
Do not run m0s on Tuesday, we will do guild runs on Thursday.
Prey, weekly events, etc etc.
Mar 17th – Heroic week
We’ll do LFR splits as best we can on the optional Tuesday timeslot
Do M0 world tours, in guild groups if possible, but these will not be organized.
Bountiful delves, PvP, weekly events, etc could all give higher tier rewards. Do as much as possible before raid starts.
Mar 24 – M+ and Mythic starts
Craft a mythic embellished item if recommended
LFR, World Boss, Prey, Bountiful Delves, etc before Thursday
Obviously, spam M+! Try to get your vault filled
If you are struggling with free time or getting guild groups, please reach out. Use the Mythic Raider Key role.
Be respectful of your guild mates. Don’t wait until Monday night and expect a full suite of 8 key carries when you know nothing about the dungeons.
DPS will probably have to pug – there just aren’t as many tanks and healers as DPS.
March 31 – Final Mythic release
Go nuts
We want CE again
Performance expectations
We cannot check in with every person every week or point out every mistake
Plan out your defensives and positions. The mechanics should never be a surprise
Some mistakes are obvious, or should be obvious.
If something bad happens to you once, ensure it won’t happen again.
If something bad happens to a teammate, take notice of it and ensure it won’t happen to you.
If it happens more than once…that’s a problem.
Spec for proper dps (what the raid needs) and not top dps (what the parses lean towards)
Know the tradeoff of your target optimizations. If your aoe damage can’t get out before adds hit 50%, go back to single target talents
Aim for “blue or better” parses. Bs get CEs!
Updated / stricter expectations than before
We are newly tracking attendance and expect 90%+ attendance rates.
Late callouts, general absences, etc destroy prog.
Remember, 6:45 IS LATE. Dimensius was 20+ minutes of assignments. Be respectful of others.
We will have fewer swaps / rotations next tier, so it is imperative that you pay attention to streams etc so you are more prepared to join. Being able to smoothly step into the fight after being benched will be much more important than it has been in the past.
Swaps will be happening after 1.5 hours instead of after 1 hour.
Enforcing the 90% attendance and other regulations is part of why we are tracking alt availability. If we have to make sudden cuts because of infractions, we can reach out to those who have alts available for needed roles while we recruit new teammates.
“Your death was not an accident, and it was probably your fault”
“Admitting to being the cause of a wipe is laudable”
“Learn from other’s mistakes, especially your own”
“don’t say “it won’t happen again”. Tell me why it’s unlikely to happen again”
Side note: be clear, be concise, calm, and not during the pull.
Recommend an hour / week of self-reflection as an average.
If you are not willing to do this, CE raiding is not for you.
Focus on survivability first
How much damage did you take from avoidable mechanics?
Did you use health pots and defensives effectively?
Did you use defensives before or after damage was taken?
Did you die to the same mechanic more than once? If so, how?
When you compare to your sims, does your damage profile look off?
Are you hitting your cooldowns at the same time as everyone else?
Are the wrong abilities doing the most (or least) damage?
Is your “percent” of damage way off?
Compare a quick sim to your opener
PoVs of your class / spec on fights are particularly useful – contains specialized recommendations / hints
Good examples: Tank positioning & DK grips on Dimensius.
Ask us for help, do “log parties” with friends, use the discord, etc.
Raid plan VoD review is useful, too! https://raidplan.io/review
Write MRT notes, or cheat and copy them!
Other ways to “git gud”:
Ask the raid leads!
VISAGE Mentorship – not just for minorities! – You get a 1:1 trainer / teacher who is an expert in your class. These mentors are often multi-CE, 3500+ IO, rank 1-5, etc for their spec. Some classes/specs have longer wait times than others. On average we’ve seen up to 20% DPS gains in 1-2 weeks from our mentees in-guild. Everyone has reported positive experiences. Sign up on the VISAGE Discord.
Wowanalyzer – Varies per spec but when it works, it works. Often gives you really easy data points to improve upon.
Archon – uses live WCL data to help plan out what gear, embellishments, stats, talents, etc you should use.
Llorgs – Help plan out your rotation, defensive usage, etc. This is good for personals. Raid CDs (Rally, darkness, healing CDs) are best left to the raid leads to plan.
Warcraftlogs – if you can’t read ‘em, ask for help 🙂
Raidbots
Our discord channels – don’t be embarrassed to ask
Raid-day expectations
Rosters will get posted Wednesday night at the latest.
Raids are not “signup” based. You are assumed to be available.
If you have concerns, please take it up with Azoll
People get sat for a lot of reasons.
Getting sat is not a punishment.
We have more than 20 people, so several folks must be sat per boss.
Quetzie, the raid lead, was sat for over 200 pulls on Dimensius.
Check boss threads before the night starts.
Boss threads will be updated throughout the week.
Not everything will be pinged. It is up to you to pay attention to the required channels without pings.
Gather at 6:30 to pull boss (not trash) at 7
Absent or late (after 6:30) – use the attendance channel, ASAP
Remember, this includes those who are benched. We need to know who we can call upon. If we ping you to fill and you don’t respond, that’s an absence.
Required addons:
Northern Sky
Others TBD
Gateway control shard (go buy one right now)
No toys that make noises or cause your character to shout
Race-swapper is fine, but the transmorpher beacon is not
No swap blast, toy train, etc.
No mage portal roulette, life-grip shenanigans, etc (unless you know they don’t care)
Benched players
Watch the twitch or Discord streams to be up-to-date
Less important for early bosses, much more important for later ones
This will keep you up to date on strats
You may even earn a “main spot” for the fight if you come in hot
Non-Raid Day Expectations
Great Vault
M+
Everyone should have 8 keys at the highest level they can achieve
Until you no longer need vault loot and/or myth crests
You do not have to “push”, just do the minimum viable key to get the gear
Use the mythic-raider-keys role ping for guild groups
Guild groups are great, but you should expect to pug.
Get 2k ASAP
Delves
Do T8 delves until you are full on hero gear
This is “bad luck protection”.
Tuesday Extra Days (not required)
LFR splits in the first couple weeks for tier
Extra raid day
Norm/hero raids for tier, trinkets, renown, etc.
Because of the weird multi-raid split, we may do a Mythic on tuesday if there are enough people.
Raiders can likewise pug mythic bosses for vault slots so long as they don’t lock themselves out of the raid instances we’re working on
Study Sessions
Some Tuesdays we will get together and go over boss videos, raidplans, etc, and start hashing out assignments and look at the bosses together.
Will also assign mechanic-specific shotcalls as needed
The more people that show up, the easier it will be to start work on a boss come Thursday.
Loot Stuff (copy/pasted from last tier, Tiraffe can fix this)
This part is a bit thorough and we want to make sure everyone is on the same page, since we’ve got quite a handful of reconveners
We use readycheck.io for a loot sheet and we use RCLC to manage rolls inside the raid.
Make sure you have your loot marked on the lootsheet. There will be a demo of this after the meeting
We don’t use Better BIS, stop clicking that
Mark things as BIS, Upgrade, Sidegrade or Offspec
Sidenote: Sims for Tier pieces and Power Infusion (Ulria sheet)
There will be preliminary sims for Power Infusion and sims in general before the season starts, grain of salt and all that.
No class tuning planned until March 17th unless it’s seriously broken
Doublecheck on Tuesday when the raid drops
Changes to Tier tokens and Catalyst charges in Midnight
Tier tokens are now by armor type instead of specific class groupings
Ex. Mage, Priest and Warlock are now on the same token
Omni-token does not drop until Week 3 with March on Quel’danas (2 boss raid)
Once you get 4-set, catalyst charges will drop from all content
Ergo, we’ll be prioritizing giving everyone 1 piece and then giving everyone a 2nd piece, and having folks use their 1st Catalyst charge + the Catalyst charge from 2k io / aotc to guarantee 4-set off of 2-set
We’ll have buttons to press in the RCLC addon
RCLC
Tier 0: 1 set, then 2 set (If you see tier in your vault, you’ll grab it anyway)
We’re trying to spread around tier to increase the chances folks can grab 2 set from vault
Tier 1: BiS
Never replaced except by same item at higher ilvl – this means your heroic trinkets may be marked as BiS.
If your BiS trinkets come from M+, then you will mark any raid trinkets as “upgrade” or “sidegrade”.
Only mark up to two raid trinkets/rings as BIS. If you mark three and you plan to replace one of them, then one of them shouldn’t be marked BIS.
Tier 2: Upgrades, catalyst, alts, later trials (not you!)
Tier 3: Offspec
Tier 4: M+ loot and Transmog (for THIS character only)
Hunters and warriors can’t roll daggers; druids can’t roll wands; neither can roll mail.
If you plan on building up multiple specs, whichever spec has the most prog time will be your primary spec when it comes to loot
Recipes / patterns go to the guild to either sell or distribute to dedicated crafters.
BoE’s that drop during raid nights are yours to keep

Rare/Unique Loot Redux:
The way we did Rare loot (heroic/mythic rare loot) was as follows:
Rare loot whose effects were negligible for throughput were taken off of the rare loot council.
In Nerub’ar Palace, this meant that the rare cloak (survival buff) and the rare neck (mana regain and two vers buffs) were left as open roll.
In Undermine, the new rare cloak (movespeed burst) was open roll
The remaining items:
Ansurek ring (nature damage proc) and Void Reaper’s Warp Blade (agi 1hander, 2set w/ a trinket) were meant to be loot counciled
By which I mean they never dropped
Best-in-Slots, Capo’s Molten Knuckles and The Jastor Diamond all saw a few pieces being loot council’d off during the season
As for how loot council was done:
1. All raidleads were on the council, along with three randomly selected raid members per week. Trials were included in this pool, but ineligible to receive rare loot themselves.
2. The random members were selected around Sunday/Monday night on average. Get a decision by Wednesday night at the latest.
3. Raiders interested in the rare loot would submit a loot sim for the week, with the rare loot simmed at the same ilvl as the piece they would be replacing.
4. Sims were not the sole determinant as attendance, rostering and set bonuses/current gear would also be factored in. We do doublecheck if people had changed their gear after submitting their sims or if their sims are horribly out of date.
5. All loot council members for the week would vote on the priority for the rare loot if it dropped, just in case we managed to get two drops at once. The text channel was also open to discussion for members to argue why someone would get the rare loot over someone else. Trials would not get prio on rare loot until full members already had them.
To give more specific examples from Nerubar Palace:
The Void Reaper’s Warp Blade was part of a set bonus with the Void Reaper’s Contract. Thus, anyone that had the trinket got priority over those that didn’t.
Likewise, the Seal of the Poisoned Pact had a higher chance to proc if either your spec/hero talents provided nature damage (the more frequent, the better), or if you had a trinket that dealt nature damage (which we put at a lower priority because none of the nature damage trinkets were bis).
For Midnight season 1, we’re looking at putting the rare ring on the same loot rolls as everything else in the raid, since the effect is negligible.
Voidspire – Eternal Voidsong Chain – Rare neck
Dreamrift – none
March – Eye of Midnight
Free-roll:
March, last boss – Eye of Midnight – Rare ring (haste only, taking 15% of your max health in shadow damage procs a shield + avoidance once every 30 seconds)
There is a mastery/haste dungeon ring, 2 crit/haste dungeon rings, a haste/mastery dungeon ring, a vers/haste dungeon ring for alternatives
Shadow damage is shadow, any shadow[x], twilight, plague, cosmic and chaos
Loot Council:
Voidspire, last boss – Eternal Voidsong Chain – Rare neck (high haste, low mastery, proc on shadow damage for more shadow damage, last boss)
There is a crit/haste raid neck, mastery/haste raid neck, 2 vers/haste dungeon necks, a crit/haste dungeon neck
Must be capable of doing shadow damage to make the neck do damage
There’s a few trinkets and 1 embellishment that do consistent shadow damage (make sure they’re actually your bis and that they’re not on a 2 min cd).
Early bis lists indicate that no one is likely to grab the shadow proc embellishment as a mainstat/secondary stat embellishment is outperforming it
We’ll have a general spec breakdown posted at some point. However, if it is tuned poorly, we’ll just set it as a free-roll
Prio
DPS that can consistently deal shadow
DPS that inconsistently deal shadow
DPS that don’t deal shadow but need the stats, and Tanks/healers that deal shadow
Tanks/healers that don’t
Trials & Role Swaps
People who took breaks for a tier must re-trial.
If you ghost, forget about it.
Try to tell us more than a few hours/days in advance if you’re quitting.
That’s basically ghosting. This will affect your ability to return in the future.
Trials officially begin on the day of the first prog raid and last 4-6 weeks (8-12 mythic raid nights).
Feel free to use the trial hub channel if you have questions for us
If you want to swap mains, that’s fine! Character swaps should be close to main in power progression
If you want to swap roles (DPS -> tank or healer, healer -> DPS, etc) please come in with logs showing that you can perform at the required level of performance.

Expansion & Seasonal Changes
Tbd
Crest Changes
You can earn 100 crests / week (up 10 from TWW)
Each upgrade costs 20 crests / level (up from 15 from TWW)
Crafted items more expensive (Up to 80 from 60)
Crests are now specific to the tier, no more “myth crests to upgrade hero gear”
It will take you longer than TWW to reach your ilvl cap, but not as long as midnight beta
You will be able to convert hero crests to myth crests though “interesting shenanigans”
Prey system
What dis? Who knows. Apparently Nightmare drops some good early stuff.

Addon Apocalypse Changes
Be careful of new & “vibe coded” addons. These may not receive updates after a patch or two, and many of them have massive performance hits compared to addons by trusted developers.
BugGrabber & BugSack so you don’t get lua errors midfight
